A woman was taken to hospital this morning after being rescued from a burning flat.Firefighters forced their way into a ground floor flat in Beckingham Road in North Evington, Leicester, after being called out at 5.24am by a neighbour.The woman was led to safety then taken by ambulance to Leicester Royal Infirmary suffering from smoke inhalation.Fire crews from Eastern, Western and Central station used breathing apparatus to put out the blaze and to search the building.Police closed off Mayfield...
