Police are appealing for witnesses after a 67-year-old man suffered serious injuries when he was hit by a car on a city street.Leicestershire police issued the plea after the man was injured just after 10pm yesterday on Burley's Way - the A594 inner ring road in Leicester.The man was taken to Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham with serious injuries after being hit by a blue BMW 520D.Police said the man was struck as he crossed the road near to the Wharf Street junction.A police spokesman said:...
