NHS workers took nearly 400,000 days of sick in one year

Nearly 400,000 working days were lost to staff sickness across three health organisations in the past year.The days were taken by staff employed by Leicester's hospitals, East Midlands Ambulance Service (Emas) and Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust, which provides mental and community health services.The numbers of sick days taken by the hospitals' and ambulance staff over the period, which runs from April 1, 2014, and March 31, 2015, were the highest in five years.Tim Slater, Emas general...
